New Online Poker
Community on the Horizon
World Poker Tour Enterprises (WPTE) is at it
again attaching itself to another large project that has the
potential of doing wonders for the online poker industry.
Teaming up with Toronto-based Chip Leaders Inc., who specializes in
online communications software, WPTE will be launching an online
poker network where players can sign up and create a personal
profile.
Quite similar to the setup used at MySpace,
Chip Leaders has created a platform that will let online poker
players post and share pictures, email each other, send online blogs,
as well as participate in poker related forums. The idea - set
forth by WPTE, is to create a worldwide network of poker enthusiasts
who can not only choose where they want to play online, but who can
also set up private gambling sessions and special events.
The poker network, which will be accessible
through World Poker Tour's main website, does not have a name as of
yet. It will be the first online poker community of its kind,
and is expected to become as popular as the World Poker Tour itself.
