Bodog Develops New
Poker Tournament Structure
Bodog is doing more to cater to the online
poker crowd, while continuing to add more features and perks to
their already popular poker room. The latest enhancement is a
little something to further make the sites jackpot prize of nearly
$2 million ($1.8 million to be exact) a little more tempting.
What will be happening now is that players will
be given extra chips if carrying stacks in the range of 1,200 to
2,500 chips. And in some tournaments, the time between blind
levels will be upped three more minutes to a total of fifteen.
It is a upgrade of luxury, if you will.
Especially in higher stakes games, more time
between blind levels is surely to be valued by players, who for the
most part feel rushed at times in the fast paced game of online
poker. As opposed to land-based poker games, the online
versions have a tendency to come to completion much faster with the
innovations that online technology and internet accessibility have
created.
Bodog is hoping their new way of playing online poker will catch on,
and that other online poker rooms will do the same. They
believe that it will create a more sensitive user-end that players
will come to appreciate. Bodog's founder, Calvin Ayre even
went so far as to say that he thinks the new system will change the
manner in which all online poker room tournaments are carried out.
