Omaha Poker
December 12, 2008
PokerTime has now added Omaha to its private table lineup so now their
players have even more ways of coming home a poker winner. The poker site
has been running their monthly $200,000 Rake Race for three installments
now, and players have been enjoying it immensely. Players earn points
playing at private poker tables, which are indicated in green on the
software. Only PokerTime players can enjoy them, so it makes sense to
register to get all of the benefits.
But now that the poker site has added Omaha to their listing of choices,
players can choose between that and Texas Hold’em. They have had the ability
to play Omaha poker since November 1st, and those that have taken advantage
of it are thrilled to have the option. There is a possible prize pool of
$200,000 that is given away to the poker players each month, and it pays
down to 150 places.
The idea is that poker players play as much as they can to get the poker
points, and it doesn’t matter whether you win or lose. You get the points no
matter what. The points let the poker players move higher in the rake race,
and if you get in the top 150 you are getting a prize. The higher up you are
in the race, the more money you get when it pays out.
Now that they have the additional option of playing poker in the Omaha
style, there are more opportunities to win more points. And everyone knows,
more points equal more money at the end.
