Final Table at a Glance

It is an exciting time for poker players as the World Series of Poker
gets ready to start its final table. This is the fortieth annual World
Series of Poker Main Event, and players around the world are watching to see
who will take home the top prize of more than $8 million dollars. Next
Saturday it all starts and the excitement is building in anticipation.
This year the event will be held at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in
Las Vegas, and thousands of poker players are expected to attend. First
prize is $8.55 million, and then obviously goes down from there. Defending
champion Peter Eastgate will be there, and poker players could not be more
excited to see how he does.
The World Series of Poker began May 26th, and as it had done the previous
year, it waited until November for the final table, to build the
anticipation of who would win. The event is a $10,000 buy in, Texas Hold ‘em
event, and when it is done 57 gold bracelets will have been awarded for the
entire event.
The top ten percent of players will get payouts, with the final one being
$21,365 for 648th place. However, on Saturday there will only be nine
players and they will play until there are only two left. Then on Monday
night there will be a heads up play, and whoever wins it takes home the top
prize. Poker players will be tuning in and showing up to see who that might
be,
