Best Darn Poker Show is
Back
November 7, 2009
When names of amazing poker players come up it is usually the regulars
that you hear about – and Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke are definitely two of
the most recognizable. Hellmuth has long been a staple of the poker circuit,
and after her turn on “Celebrity Apprentice” last year, Duke practically
became a household name.
Well, both of them are back, only this time they are playing against each
other for the whole world to watch. The poker players are headed to Europe
for Season 2 of The Best Damn Poker Show. This year the popular show will
have the two poker professionals vying for the title of best poker teacher.
They will be training their players on the most popular poker game of Texas
Hold ‘em.
The poker show will air on Tuesdays and Wednesdays on the Poker Channel
Europe. The show begins running October 20th and will be on every week at
22:00 CET. In order to qualify for the poker show, players have to audition
for it on Ultimate Bet. Once there they have to join Team Hellmuth or Team
Duke, and they train with the poker professionals over the course of seven
weeks, with one player going home each week.
The poker profs show the players tips and tricks on how to become a better
poker player, and they analyze their competition. Ultimately one poker
player is left standing and they win the game and get crowned champion. The
show was a hit the first time around, and the network is assured that this
time it will be just as popular.
