One of the best things about online poker places is that they aren’t a live casino. This means that when you visit an online poker casino you can get help with your game that you just can’t get at a B&M casino. If you want to learn how to play the game, that is not the place to do it.

You will find that other poker players have very little patience for the player who doesn’t know what they are doing, as they are playing for real money. The goal is to get everyone out so that they can win. But if you are playing for the first time, or are really a novice at the game, this is not the place to do it.

There are plenty of poker sites out there that will offer either tutorials or free play so that you can have some kind of “on the job” training before you run off and hand everyone else your money within the first few seconds of sitting down. You can play tutorials that will run you through how to play, showing you options for your hands, and letting you know what beats what when playing.

There is also the option of trying “free play” where you can simply play and play until you figure it out on your own. This enables you to get a feel for the game, and even if you have played poker for years, it is a nice way to play review. It also let’s you try out online poker if perhaps you have always been a table kind of player.
