Absolute Poker Running Challenge
October 11, 2009
Poker players are always looking for a great tournament or promotion that
they can be a part of. Sometimes within the United States it can be tough to
find a poker tournament that is open to them as residents because of the
restrictions placed on gambling within the US. However, if you are a poker
player, and you are a college student, this is definitely the time to be a
US resident.
Absolute Poker is running their College Challenge once again. Because of the
popularity of the poker event they had decided to bring it back again for
players to compete. Any poker player, or even anyone who has even the
slightest interest in playing poker, will be excited to hear that the
challenge is back. Geared towards university and college students within the
United States, students will be eligible for $30,000 in prizes.
You must be enrolled in a college or university within the United States in
order to be eligible to play. There will be three qualifying tournaments
that run each day at Absolute Poker. Those players that finish in the top
nine of any of the tournaments that are offered will automatically be
entered into the free roll competition that will take place the next day.
Those players who make the top 15 of the free roll tournament will move to
the weekly main event qualifier. Those that make it to the main event
qualifier will then be eligible for the main event.
The top six finishers in the main event will compete in a live final poker
table event that will be held in Los Angeles and watched online. The winner
of this poker tournament will then get $10,000 towards their college
tuition. If you have any interest in playing poker at all, this is the
tournament to be a part of.
