Ultimate Bet Classic

The UltimateBet Aruba Poker Classic starts tomorrow in the Caribbean. Those interested in a good time as well as some serious poker playing will be ready to hit the tables and the beaches for some fun and sun.

Last year the winner of the poker classic was a Texan by the name of Travis Rice. There were 548 players in last year’s poker game, and Rice managed to beat them all out for the top prize. He walked away with $800,000 and the title of champion.

This year the poker tournament is giving away even more. The winner will get a guaranteed $1 million, with the remaining winners to split an estimated $4 million prize pool – including of course the big winner. They are expecting an even larger turnout than last year.

They have already heard from some of the big names in poker – Phil Hellmuth, Annie Duke, Cliff Josephy, and Shawn Rice have all signed on for this year’s classic. However, there is talk that Hellmuth may not actually make it to the poker tournament as he is in England trying to get his 12th World Series of Poker bracelet at their WSOP Europe event.

The poker event has a $5,000+$500 buy in, and will run through the weekend. Matt Savage is hosting the event.
