Poker is the Same No Matter What

Depending on where you come from or what you like to do – poker might change slightly. However, the fundamentals of poker will always remain the same. Poker is a game of chance and if you are willing to take one, you will enjoy the game.

But to say that poker is only a game of chance is misleading. It is also about strategy and personal relationships. Being able to read someone while sitting across the table from you says a lot about you as a human being as well.

The poker chips, the cards, the people, they all fall into one big heap to make up the poker game. The poker chips will not change except in color – the idea of them is the same. The cards are the same cards no matter what – but again, how you play them is the crux of the game.

No two people play alike, nor do they act alike when they are in a poker game. Some have “tells” and some do not. Then there are those that swear that everyone has one, you just can’t readily see it in some players the way you can in others.

The thrill of the competition is the main reason people play poker – the money is simply the icing on the cake. For trust me, if they didn’t enjoy the game of poker they wouldn’t keep playing just for the money – they would find another way of making it.
