Everybody Likes a Casino Opening

It seems that celebrities are really no different from us in that they love an opening just as much as the next guy. The opening of the new Mohegan Sun’s Casino of the Wind brought in all kinds of celebrities just itchin’ to get a taste of those poker tables.

The opening saw people like James Denton of Desperate Housewives up on stage doing some guitar playing that got him a standing ovation. He is part of a group of TV actors who play together, and they were all there to enjoy the opening.

Band from TV is made up of Denton, as well as Bob Guiney from "The Bachelor." The two organized the band along with Hugh Laurie and Jesse Spencer from "House" and Rebecca Budig from All My Children. The group was excited to be playing, and put on two shows for the poker and gambling crowd.

They also saw Tracy Morgan at the opening, who was quick to show off his poker skills. He sat down at the poker tables and got a straight flush with one of his first hands. Many thought it was quite impressive.

The opening also saw Jessica Szohr and Matthew Settle from Gossip Girl, Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin from Dancing with the Stars, Stacy Keibler also from DWTS, and Becki Newton from Ugly Betty. There was a red carpet and VIP areas, and those that were lucky enough to come to the grand opening were excited to be able to hob-nob with such celebrities.

There was also a poker game for them all to participate in at the beginning of the night. Then at the end of the night they had a another poker game for them at the After Party. Everyone went home tired but excited for the fun they had just had.
