More Play Equals More Pay
September 29, 2009
It goes without saying that the more you do something the better you get
at it. From everything having to do with playing Chutes and Ladders and
Twister to blackjack and poker, the more you play those games the better you
will get at them. For some games like poker and blackjack, the more you play
them the more money you will make as well.
This can be seen on the poker circuit. Those players that have been around
for a long period of time and are looking to make themselves a living at
this, have to practice and practice and practice. The more they practice the
better they get at it, hence these are the names that you see on the World
Series of Poker. It is not the Joe Smith's of the world that are rolling the
poker arena, rather it is the Daniel Negreau’s and the Phil Hellmuth’s that
are taking the titles.
Sometimes this involves taking risky moves in order to get ahead. For an
inexperienced player this could be a way of losing, but in the right hands a
player can find themselves winning a nice amount of money simply by taking
that risk. Again this comes with experience.
By continuing to practice and attempting to get ahead in the poker arena
those players that practice more than the others will most likely find
themselves in the lead. There are lots of players out there who may have had
the potential or even the opportunity to do better when it comes to poker
but chose not to work on their skill and therefore have been eliminated from
the arena.
