Poker After Dark
September 15, 2009
Poker After Dark, the popular NBC show, will be returning
after all. There was some talk that it was not getting the numbers that they
were expecting it to get and some feared that it might be cancelled.
However, this is not to be the case. According to NBC, they will be running
the poker show another four weeks.
Not only is the show coming back for another four weeks,
but they will be offering some of the best and brightest from the poker
industry. This time around they will have November Nine's Phil Ivey, Howard
Lederer, Tom "durrrr" Dwan, Eli Elezra, Patrik Antonius, and Bluff columnist
Ilari Sahamies.
They will have a buy in of $100,000 and the blinds start
at $200 for the small, $400 for a large, and a $100 ante.
The blinds will continue to rise throughout the game, adding to the
suspense that these poker games always offer. It is exciting to watch some
of the best poker players in the business go head to head and waiting to see
who will come out triumphant.
Each week the seating assignments will
change – which will change the game as the players change the way that they
are playing. Where you sit in the poker game is almost as important as how
you play. Not only are they some of the best poker players out there, they
are also some of the most aggressive – which is how they got where they are
today. It is bound to be a very exciting game and we can’t wait to see it!
