Poker Show Comes in November

The Best Damn Poker Show will start airing on FSN on October 27th. Those fans of the first season of the poker show are thrilled to know that it is coming back, and just cannot wait to see what Phil Hellmuth has in store for them this season.

The show has quite a following after last year’s season – and rightly so. Anyone who knows anything about poker finds themselves mesmerized by the poker playing on the show.

The premise is simple – Hellmuth and Annie Duke take poker players under their wing and teach them what they know. They start with 18 players and they are whittled away until there is only one left. Hellmuth and Duke try to prove who the better poker teacher is, while the players try to prove who the best poker player is.

UltimateBet hosts the poker show, and they chose the players for it. Poker players that wanted to be on the show sent audition videos to the company telling why they should be on the show. The videos went on YouTube and poker fans could watch them to see who was vying for the positions.

They also hosted a live audition in Las Vegas during the World Series of Poker events, which allowed producers to check out some real talent and promote the show at the same time. In the end there will be two victorious poker players – one as teacher and one as student.
