Poker is Hot to Trot

There was a time when the casinos were more interested in how many slot machines and baccarat tables they could get on the gaming floor, and many removed most if not all of their poker tables. However, in recent years, poker has once again fought its way back, and now casinos are reversing their positions and bringing back poker in a big way.

Television has a lot to do with the fact that poker is so hot right now. The various shows that feature celebrities and poker stars winning fat pots of cash are enough to make anyone pick up poker playing. However, now the Venetian Hotel and Casino is going one step further.

The Venetian is offering The Real Deal! which is an audience participation themed poker show. It starts October 14th in their Venetian showroom and they are sure that it will be a hit.

The show will allow the audience the opportunity to play with the best of the best. They will watch a 90 minute poker tournament with big names like Phil Hellmuth, Jr. and Doyle Brunson, and get to play along at their seats with hand held devices.

The casino says that people come to Vegas because they want to play poker. This show will let them not only play poker, but play poker with the best of the best. The casino has signed on about 10 poker players already to participate.
