Poker Stars Wants Cada
August 29, 2009
World Poker Tour’s final table is being held in November and this means a
lot of anticipation for the poker world. Everyone is anxiously waiting to
see who is the first to go and who stays until the very end and the more
than $8 million at the end of the rainbow.
But there is another thing that people are looking for and that is the
sponsorships. There are those players at that table that everyone is looking
at, and then there are the various poker companies and what-not that are
looking for somewhere to stick their branding so that they can get all the
publicity that is coming their way. And heaven help them if their player
wins – because that is the kind of publicity that you just can’t buy; which
is where Poker Stars and Joe Cada come in.
Cada is a 21 year old poker player who has just signed a deal with Poker
Stars. The only one left that had not yet signed a deal, if he wins it could
really mean big bucks for everyone. Cada could break Peter Eastgate’s record
of being the youngest player ever to win the World Series of Poker’s Main
Event – and both he and Poker Stars are aware of what could happen to his
career should he be successful at doing so.
Cada is going up against a lot of heavy hitters and it could be a huge
moment for him – besides of course the huge deal of being at the table in
the first place. He says that not only is he excited about the win – but he
is honored that Poker Stars chose him to represent them. He says that the
honor is not lost on him.
