21 Year Old Poker Player Winning Millions
July 24, 2009
What kind of changes do you think your life would go through should you
have become a millionaire at the age of 21? Do you think you would be
responsible? Or do you think that you would blow it all? Thankfully poker
player Joseph Cada has the ability to get the money and the brains because
his mother keeps riding him.
Upon learning that Cada, 21 from Shelby Township in Michigan, had advanced
to the final table in the World Series of Poker, Cada’s mother says that she
has been trying to get him to go back to school. She admits that the time
off has paid off well for him in as far as his poker playing goes, but she
still wants to see him back in college.
Cada is the youngest poker player to ever sit at the table as he just turned
21 in November, thus barely qualifying for the table. Even if he is the
first one out of the final table he will still take home more than $1.2
million dollars for sitting there. Cada was not considered a threat – even
remotely – and the fact that he is now sitting at the final table is simply
amazing to everyone.
The poker player has beaten out almost sixty-five hundred other players to
sit at that final table, and it being his first World Series of Poker many
are simply amazed by how far he has gotten. Cada’s mother says that now that
he has played the big time in poker, maybe she’ll be able to get him to go
back to college and finish. Cada dropped out of Macomb Community College
after two semesters to pursue his dream of professional poker, and it looks
like he has gotten his wish.
