Big Money in Poker
July 30, 2009
More than 50 professional athletes and poker players are going to play
poker, golf, slot machines and blackjack over a course of four days – and
you can have a chance to compete with them. Sports and poker fans alike are
going to love the event that the Atlantis Paradise Resort and Casino in the
Bahamas has put together. It embraces both worlds and throws them together
in a way that only Atlantis can do.
The Sports Legends Challenge is running from September 14th through the 17th
and will end with the No Limit Hold’em Sports Legends All Star Poker
Challenge. The top 25 poker players will get matched up with the
professional athletes, and the poker professionals are going to be the top
player’s coaches for the event.
This means that not only do you get to go up against some of the biggest
names in sports today, but you also get a poker professional to tell you how
you might play your cards better. It is a win-win for poker players, even if
they don’t walk away with the top prize. There will be athletes such as Troy
Aikman, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Emmitt Smith, Gale Sayers, Mike Ditka, and
Sugar Ray Leonard.
There will also be poker players like Johnny Chan, David Singer, Kathy
Liebert, TJ Cloutier, and Robert Williamson on the poker side ready to do
some coaching. For poker players it is a chance of a lifetime to not only
meet these professional players but to also get coached by them. Same thing
with the sports fans as this will assuredly be the only chance they will
have in their life to play poker with someone like Richard Petty!
