Asian Logic Releases Schedule for Poker Tour
July 29, 2009
The announcement has been made and the Asian Poker Tour schedule has been
released for this year. This year’s poker tournament will run from August
12th through the 23rd, and will be held at the Galaxy Starwood Hotel and
Casino in Macau.
The APT Macau Festival is a much larger poker experience than it was last
year. The APT has doubled from last year’s six days to twelve says this
year. They say that it is to be considered the first poker festival in Asia.
The poker event is going to have more than 20 various events as well as
fourteen official side events. The poker tour will also be the backdrop for
the filming of a movie. “Poker King” starring many well known Chinese actors
will be filming during the duration of the poker event.
The first four events will have guaranteed prize pools of various amounts
depending on which event you attend. There is a HK $2,500 buy in welcome
event that has a prize pool of HK $100,000, as well as other events that
range from HK $50,000 to HK $150,000. There are also varying amounts of a
buy in and many of them offer re-buys as well. The Main Event takes place on
August 20th, and then they really get serious.
But the Macau poker event is also introducing a few firsts for their
clients. There will be a heads up event as well as a ladies’ tournament –
neither of which have been offered before. They will have all of their
normal poker professionals from “The Poker Pack” taking advantage of the
time of play – and they are offering high roller events as well.
