Amateurs vs. Pros

The Venetian Resort Hotel is trying something different on for change – they are looking at changing the face of poker. They have been thinking up ways of making poker more accessible to those that might not be the “best” at it – and they have definitely come up with something.

They have a new interactive show that will let their spectators test their poker skills. They will be going up against some of the big names in the poker business, and this way they get to see what they are made of.

The new poker show is called “The Real Deal!” and it starts this fall at the casino. Players will get to try their hand at poker going up against names like Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu and Phil Hellmuth, Jr. Some of the poker players will go onstage while others will use touch screen devices at their seats.

The poker professionals will go against amateurs and audience members – and some of the attendees will win prizes as well. If all goes as planned, the show will run six days a week this fall at the Venetian Resort.
