Poker Pro Sees Life Change

It isn’t every day that you see someone’s life change in a way that is so drastic you can actually watch it happen. When it does happen, those that were around to see it are always glad that they were as they know that this was a defining moment in this person’s life and they were a part of it.

Richard Hemmington just had one of those life defining moments. A PC sales man, Hemmington has a nine to five job, a wife and two kids – a very normal life. However, the 40 year old got a wild hair and thought that he might make a change in his life. He had been laid off from his job, and was trying to figure out his next move when ht thought that he might play a little poker since he enjoyed it so much online.

He played at CelebPoker.com and had a great time, and he won. Not only did he win, but in just three months he has won almost £100,000 from playing. Because he did so well in the poker tournament, he is now headed to the Seefeld Poker Masters in Austria courtesy of the online poker site. He says that he is just amazed that things have gone this way for him.

He says that he was really worried when he lost his job, but he has already exceeded the amount of money that he would have made in a year at his old job and did it in a quarter of the time. He is now playing the various online poker tournaments and doing very well for himself.

Hemmington lives in Surbiton, Surrey, and has already started traveling to various locations following his poker dream. He went the Philippines for the APT Manila Tournament, and is now headed over to Austria with just six other poker players from the site after having beaten hundreds of players to win. Going to Austria, he gets a €2,250 sponsorship package, and a chance at a share of a prize pool that is worth well over €180,000.
