Ladbrokes Gets Top Spot

Ladbrokes Poker was pleased to announce this week that they took the number one spot in the UK poker industry on Hitwise for the week ending June 14th. It seems that the poker site had a record number of visits to their site.

It ended up giving them a 19.5% market share for the week as well as the top spot. The company thinks it has to do with their new look. They have completely redone their site so that it is more interesting and easier to use.

They now offer three ways to access their poker rooms. They can choose a 3–D version which allows them to create characters or Avatars; they can use the classic version; or they can use an instant play option that they access in their web browser.

The company says that they have had a solid poker playing community at the poker site for six years and that they don’t take them for granted. They changed their web site design for those people that visit their site so that they could make it easier for them to find what they were looking for.

They are also very proud of the fact that they had their billionth hand dealt. They celebrated by giving away World Series of Poker prizes worth more than a quarter of a million dollars in one freeroll. Players were hoping to be in on the action when the billionth hand hit so that they would qualify for the roll.
