Absolute Poker is pleased to announce their promotions for May – and they think that their players are going to be equally pleased. They say that they have pulled out all of the stops for the month, so that they can give their online poker customers the best that is out there. They are offering ways to qualify for World Poker Tour events, World Series of Poker events, etc. all by playing at their online poker site.

For a limited time they are even going to pay you to play poker at their site. All you have to do is sign up for an account, and you will get a 150% bonus. This means that if you put in $50, you get back $75; if you put in $100, you get back $150! So you could conceivably use their money to get your seat at a top poker event.

You could start in the satellites – which cost you ten cents a pop, and work your way up to a $10,000 seat at the 2009 World Series of Poker. Or you could go even further – how about going to college on a poker scholarship? The Absolute Poker College Challenge is a 12 week program that is free and has three parts. Two of them are leader boards, one is by school and one is by player, and the main event. Not only are there thousands of prizes on the line for this poker challenge, but there is also a year’s worth of tuition – completely paid for.

In case that is not your cup of tea, how about their Bad Beat Jackpot? The Absolute Poker Turbo Bad Beat Jackpots are faster than your normal poker game. They give you 15 seconds to make a play, and the poker site takes $0.50 per pot of each hand that is raked that is worth more than $0.25. That jackpot then sits there waiting for someone to hit the bad beat – or a hand of four eights or better.
