end his strong year of poker playing Season IV of the World Poker Tour
by being awarded with the title of the tour’s Season IV Player of the
Year.
During this past poker
playing year, he made it all the way to the final table in 3 different
$10,000 buy in World Poker Tour poker playing events. One of the events
was the 2005 Mirage Poker Showdown where he came in first place.
Howard Lederer, another
great pro poker player, an spokesperson for the popular online poker
site, Full Tilt Poker, said that getting to a WPT final table is a feat
achieved by many poker players, but getting all the way to 3 different
final tables in one year, is something not many poker players can do at
all. Out of the three tables, Smith came in first place in one of them,
too.
Gavin Smith is the 3rd
