APT Has More Poker Sign Ups
April 28, 2009
Poker players love anything new, and they love a new challenge. The Asian
Poker Tour promises to be that on many levels, but with their latest
announcement they are proving to be much more than many thought they would
initially be. The Asian Poker Tour recently announced that they have had a
slew of online poker rooms sign up to provide online qualifiers for their
Macau event.
The poker event will be held from August 12 through the 23rd at the Galaxy
StarWorld Hotel and Casino. The poker event was so successful last year that
they literally doubled the number of days and increased the events. Last
year they had six days, this year they have twelve. The event schedule is
intense and amazing this year and poker players are seriously looking
forward to it.
The online poker community has really gotten involved with it this year,
with some of the biggest names in the business signed up already. The iPoker
Network, PartyPoker.com, and the Ongame Network have all signed up for
qualifying poker events. These poker sites are the third, fourth and fifth
largest poker sites in the world, so the fact that they have signed on is
truly a vote of confidence in the APT.
They have also signed on a number of smaller online poker rooms to host
events as well, which makes them even more accessible to players. APT says
that they are so thrilled by the “enthusiasm” of their partners that they
know that this year’s event will simply outdo last years’ event
substantially.
