With Las Vegas quickly becoming the place that companies should not go to,
this leaves many open rooms for those that are going. Not only that, but
those rooms that are left are going at a heck of a price, and you can thank
President Obama and the economy for that!
Companies have been cutting back on travel, period, which was already having
a negative impact on the city. But then President Obama made it very clear
that if you are taking money from the US government to keep your doors open
you had better not be taking trips to Vegas. This then put the kibosh on any
other companies that were looking to go out there for fear of how it would
look.
This leaves a city in need of customers, and knowing that they had better
start making some serious deals with those that have decided to come anyway.
With the World Series of Poker taking over the town soon, there are many
poker players looking to come to town and they are going to get some great
deals by doing so.
What was once considered one of the most expensive times of the year to get
a room – for the poker tournament – has quickly become one of the most
inexpensive times of the year. Poker players are finding that all the big
casinos are offering deals for you to stay there, and they want your
business so badly that they are willing to try and out deal the competition
to get you in the door.
Las Vegas has long been considered a reasonably priced place for businessmen
to go, but it has just cotton considerably more so.
