Live poker on a mobile device is something that most people only dream of. They say that there is nothing they would like more than to play poker wherever they want, whenever they want – and there are finally new applications coming out that they can finally do so. With poker becoming more social, there are many companies out there that are attempting to bridge the gap between that social aspect and the mobile gaming device – which will make them very happy.

Zynga seems to be the first one able to make that leap that they have all been looking for. The new poker application comes not only with the poker abilities, but also with a Facebook connect for the iPhone or iPod touch which will let players bring that social aspect to the gaming experience. This changes the face of poker for the mobile gaming community as it is usually seen as a more social game that so far has not been able to embrace that aspect in a mobile gaming environment.

With the new poker software players can log into their Facebook account with a user friendly interface that has been created just for them. They can play against their Facebook friends as well, as long as their friends have the iPod touch, iPhone, or are playing Texas Hold’em on Facebook. With the integration you can also see how you rank against your friends who are playing online as well.

The CEO of Zynga says that they are thrilled that they are able to offer the poker game to their Facebook players as well because it is something that they have gotten a lot of requests for and it is bound to be a popular item. They say that this gives a social expansion to poker that just wasn’t available before.
