Visit PokerStars - The # 1 Poker Room Accepting US Players
Hello Poker!
March
14, 2009
It is that time of year again
when the poker industry simply rejoices. The World Series of Poker has
announced their registration for the 2009 series is open! There will be 57
bracelets up for grabs this year, which is two more than last year. There
will be poker players from all over the world vying for those bracelets and
many poker players may go home with more than one.
Pre-registration has already started for each of the events, and the first
event will be at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. You can go
to the poker tournament’s official web site to get your registration form,
which you can fill out online, print, then fax or mail to the company.
Players are to complete the poker registration form in full – giving all
details that have been asked for. In previous years there have been many
instances of players not providing all of their info and many have been
denied access to the poker events because of it.
For those poker players that do not live in Las Vegas, in order to pay the
entry fees they have to send a cashier’s check or process a wire transfer to
take care of that. The checks are to be made out to the World Series of
Poker and mailed to the Rio with their registration form. Wire transfers are
a little tougher only because there needs to be a special form filled out
and faxed to the World Series of Poker officials.
For each event pre registration will be open for two weeks before. Each
tournament only accepts so many players, so once that capacity is met the
registration for the event will be closed. Alternatives are not being
accepted after that time. They say that if you have a special poker event
that you want to be in, you should register as soon as possible.
