Cada Goes with Poker Stars
February 3, 2010
Joe Cada literally had his pick of the litter. With Poker Host and Ultimate
Bet nipping at his heels to sign with them, the poker professional instead
chose to go with Poker Stars. A member of the November Nine at the World
Series of Poker or WSOP, Cada is one of the nine most wanted players in the
world right now. Any poker site that was able to sign him would have brought
in a ton of players from the endorsement.
The final contract took much longer to come to a head than the verbal deal
did, but once Cada made his decision it was fairly smooth sailing. Up until
then he and his manager had to go through all of the other offers and decide
which one was really the best one for him personally. Both Ultimate Bet and
Poker Host were offering contracts at the exact same time, but Cada felt
that Poker Stars was the better fit for him.
Many thought that Poker Stars were signing Antoine Saout and Darvin Moon as
they were among the November Nine as well, but that has not yet happened. It
was important for the poker site to get him to sign with them as they knew
that he could be one of the three. Each of the poker sites can only sponsor
a max of three players at the table, which is why it has become so
competitive for the players to get with someone.
Many felt that Cada was already showing a lot of strength in poker playing,
and many feel that it comes from his prowess online. He is a poker
professional who spends all of his free time working on the various sites
gaining skills and experience wherever he goes.
