Indiana Ready for Poker
February
29, 2009
The Midwest Regional Poker
Championships are about to get started in Indiana, and will be running the
next two weeks. Poker players around the state could not be more excited by
the event, and when it makes its stop at the Horseshoe Southern Indiana you
can be sure that there will be plenty of people waiting to play. In most
cases it is tough to get some good poker playing time in, so when something
like this happens to the state, the poker players line up.
Players from all around the Midwest, not just Illinois will be waiting to
get their chance to play some poker. The casino used to be Caesar’s Casino,
but has changed names and owners since then.
They are going to be offering 13 poker events for the players, and they are
offering buy-ins that will range from $230 to $2,600. The tournaments will
vary their games, so there is something for everyone. They will have some
amazing games – HORSE, Pot-Limit Omaha, No-Limit Turbo, and so on. Each of
the games will lead to the top main event which has a minimum $100,000
payout plus a $10,000 entry into the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event
in Las Vegas.
The main event will have a $15,000 starting stack and blind levels that will
increase hourly. They are also offering a daily cash poker tournament at 7
pm and a $150 turbo poker tournament at 9 pm each night that they are in
town. There will also be satellite poker tournaments that will let you
qualify for the main event for a fraction of the price.
