Kranich Takes Poker
Tour Title

Many were simply thrilled to see
the return of the Poker Stars European Poker Tour to Deauville, France. The
poker tournament has not been there for three years and adding it back now
is a major thrill for many of the players. Not only did it come back to
France this year, but the poker tournament also saw a German player, Moritz
Kranich win the whole kit and caboodle.
Kranich was not the favorite to win the poker tournament. He was expected to
be out earlier on, and to be defeated by French player Arnaud Esquevin. But
Kranich took the trophy, the title and the euro 851,400 winner’s check.
There were players at the poker tournament from all over the world and the
guest list read like a who’s who in poker playing. In the beginning there
were those that many thought would win, and as the poker tournament played
on and it looked like it might be down to Esquevin and Kranich, Kranich
stole the show.
Even as they went into the final poker table, some thought that although he
had the advantage in chips (6 to 1) that he might not have what it takes to
actually win the poker tournament. Proving everyone wrong left Esquiven with
his win of $495,400.
Many say that the match was determined the moment that Clemenson was removed
from the poker tournament, leaving Kranich in the lead. However, others
argue that he didn’t have the skill to complete the poker tournament and
come out on top proving everyone wrong.
