Fabiano Resigns
January
29, 2009
There has been quite an upset in the poker affiliate world – Casino
Affiliate Programs head man Lou Fabiano has resigned. There has been a lot
of mess lately when it comes to CAP and the various relationships that have
developed between the subsidiaries and the affiliates, and Fabiano says that
he has been caught in the middle.
The problem between the CardSpike skins on the Cake Poker Network is just
one problem that they have faced lately, and with the resignation of Fabiano
many wonder where this will go from here. Fabiano wrote that he thought it
was best that he resign from the poker debacle because he seems to have
become the focus of the problem.
He said that people have made this poker mess about him, and that he thought
he was now a “distraction” and that it would be best if he left. He said
that many people thought that he was a “monster now and even [his] old
friends have fallen silent in support.” He said that he loved the poker
industry, but it was time to move on. He said that if he didn’t leave now he
would become “bitter and forget all the good” that has happened over the
years.
He said that he will miss the people he has worked with over the years and
he will miss CAP, but that the stress of the poker problems was starting to
affect his health. He is planning on attending the CAP conference and awards
in London next week before he hands over the spot to the next person.
