GSN Produces Annie Duke Show
One of the best known female poker players known, Annie
Duke, is about to be showcased in a new show produced by GSN.
The name of the new poker show is
Annie Duke Takes On The World, a poker show where
non-pro poker players will get a shot at playing
against a world class poker pro. The revelation was made
public this morning at the Television Critics Association
Winter Press Tour.
The new show
will pose Annie Duke as the host and Regan Burns from the
well-known show Titus as her co-host. They will both give
tips and remark on how to play No Limit Texas Hold 'Em like
a pro. 4 non-pro players will vie for a shot to play Texas
Hold 'Em 1 on 1 against Annie Duke. Airing Monday, May 1 at
9Pm EST, the show will be one hour long.
In the first round of game-play, 3
non-pro poker players will play for the right to play Duke.
While they play, she will comment on their playing
abilities.
Many of you know Annie Duke
from when she won $2 million in the 2004 No-Limit Texas Hold
'Em World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions. She has
also been spotted tutoring celebs such as Matt Damon and Ben
Affleck on how to become even better players.
Executive producers of the new GSN
show are are Andrew Golder, Joe Reitman and Duke herself.
