Protecting Your
Winnings With a Screen Shot
You might have heard
online gamblers mention they take screen shots whenever they win a
substantial amount gambling in the online casino. Other than
saving the screen image to show your friends or save it as a memory,
many players take screen shots as evidence they won a jackpot just
in case there is any dispute later on. While this is not so
important for online poker players, it is still a good thing to know
how to do in case you decide to mix up your poker games with a few
spins on the slot machine.
The first thing you
should do is keep your browser on the page that you want to save.
Screen shots basically work in a what-you-see-is-what-you-get
fashion, meaning that you cannot take a screen shot of a page that
you cannot see. That being said, when you are ready to save
the image on your browser, locate the Prt Scrn key located
immediately to the right of the F-keys (F12).
All you have to do at
that point is press the key. Although nothing appears to
happen, the image is actually copied onto the computers clipboard.
All you have to do at this point is paste the image on a program
file that will accept it. Simple word processing programs like
Word allow you to do this. Simply open the program, open a
new, blank page and then paste the screen shot. This can be
done by either right-clicking the mouse and clicking on Paste, or
going into the Edit drop-down menu and clicking on Paste.
After pasting the screen
shot, you will be able to see it exactly how you remembered it.
Then, all you need to do is save the file as something you will
remember it by. One thing to keep in mind is that when taking
the screen shot you should scroll to the area of the page that you
want saved. Even if you are on the page you want to save, if
you do not see the information you want to save on your computer
screen, it will not be saved.
