Well, as long as there have been casino games to gamble on,
there has been the question as to when enough is enough.
Gambling and playing casino games, whether its slots or
poker, can be mesmerizing to many players – even the good
ones. But the great ones know when to quit and how to keep
tabs on when it is time to call it a day. Casinos don’t make
it easy to determine for players either. Come on, there are
no windows in casino so we can’t ell what time it even is –
have you ever even seen a clock in a casino – no! These
days, now that there are tons of online poker rooms and
casinos on the Net, we can even play from home hour after
hour without even having to get dresses. This makes it way
to easy to get lost in the mix – half of the time, players
without strict personal guidelines find themselves without
the ability to know when enough is enough – even if the
money has run out.
Well, no matter what game you are playing – you have to know
when you have won enough and lost enough in order to call it
a day.
On the other hand, there are players out there like myself
who do know when to quit (I am not a robot) and have the
ability to watch out for the perfect time to say adios for
the day. For instance, some blackjack players say that it
time to call it a day, or at least change tables, if they
have lost four or five hands in a row. Several craps
shooters say that it is time to stop for the day if they
have lost back 50% of their original winnings enabling them
to walk away with half of their winnings intact. Many
gamblers just plain out set specific goal and stick to them.
Do any of the above ideas we just mentioned to you sound
well - dumb? If so, you are already on track with knowing
when to quit and you have a good sense of reality! Figuring
out if it is time to quit actually has nothing to do with
whether you're winning or losing.
Many of you reading this article on our online poker site
may disagree, but that is just the mentality that gets you
in trouble in the first place. You can not time your
personal luck when gambling. There simply are no curves to
look at when you are winning that will tell you when your
winning streak is dead and gone. Lady Luck is as predictable
as a hurricane. Seriously, this has been established in
proscribed scientific experiments.
Now, you are asking “If it is that simple than what is
the answer to when to quit”. So check out the second
part of this article and follow the analogy we provide and
determine that for yourself: (this will definitely be
related to our online poker players out there reading this)
so be sure to read it. Click here.
