Honing your blackjack skills (part 3)

September 25, 2006

Last but not least, we want to recommend that you not never plunge. This is to say that we do not want you to be the player who plans on staying in an online casino, online poker room, blackjack table or whatever for a set amount of time. This is a bad idea. Even if you start out winning and as your quitting hour draws near you've fallen behind. Maybe you have an appointment to keep, or somewhere else to be, but you stay in the game to make your money back. After all, you were winning ion the beginning of the session, it will happen again right? Wrong. Never stay beyond your means whether it is a time constraint or budget issue.

When you start behaving like this you end up betting more money to win your money back in a shorter period of time (in order to get your money back and make it where ever it is you are supposed to be other than the casino) and you take a few more risks in order try to shorten your recovery time.

This is not the playing style that would work best when you first walked in the door (or logged into an online casino) and it is certainly not the best style to start playing now after you have overstayed your time frame. Be regimented and stop playing in this situation. In fact – do not even get yourself in this situation! Your cards are likely to be just as good tomorrow as they are today.

Be a smart player no matter what casino game you are playing. Yes, this article is based on our finding when we played blackjack, but it can easily be applied to just about any casino game including online poker. As we also mentioned in part one of this great article, these outlooks and recommendations can additionally be implemented into your every day use. Tolerance and all the other recommendations we make in this informative gaming article are usable in every day life not just gambling, playing poker online and such.
